Dr. Stephanie Duer is a mental health specialist, national speaker, and consultant dedicated to advancing trauma-informed practices and mental wellness across education and public safety systems. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Certified School Counselor with a Doctorate in Executive Leadership in Mental Health and Human Services, she brings a powerful blend of lived experience, research-based insight, and real-world systems knowledge to her work. Her professional experience spans community mental health, crisis and access services, public schools, residential treatment facilities, and programs serving adjudicated youth. Having worked within each of these systems, and currently serving as the educational liaison for the Texas Association of School Resource Officers, she has developed a unique understanding of how education, behavioral health, and law enforcement intersect. More importantly, she understands how these systems can work together to create safer schools and stronger communities. Through dynamic keynote presentations and consulting, she combines current research with her diverse professional experience to help organizations move beyond awareness and into action. She aims not only to connect with audiences but to inspire real systemic change by equipping professionals with practical, strengths-based strategies to identify vulnerable individuals, strengthen mental health supports, and prevent crises before they occur. She also has a deep passion for supporting the mental health professionals who carry the weight of this work every day. The emotional demands of helping professions are real, and Dr. Duer is committed to helping those in the field build resilience and sustain their own wellness while supporting others. In addition to her speaking and consulting work, she hosts the podcast Dishing with Dr. Duer, where she explores real-life conversations around mental health and wellness, from navigating grief and setting boundaries to co-parenting and the everyday challenges people face. Dr. Duer's mission across every platform is the same: to spark meaningful conversations, break down stigma, and empower people and systems to create healthier, more resilient communities.
